SEC Ocean Mall is recognized as the Best Future Shopping Mall according to EEA Real Estate Forum & Project Awards 2017.

Ocean Mall, the most anticipated project in Ukraine’s commercial real estate market, completes its foundation work and proceeds to building erection. Completion date for the Ocean Mall is set for October 2018, and opening ceremony will take place in November 2018.

“Ocean Mall will soon become one of the capital’s main attractions. Today demand for retail space in the new shopping center is truly impressive. We’ve just returned from MAPIC exhibition, where we have presented the shopping center to international retailers. And next week we plan to complete the negotiations and sign contracts with the big Turkish operators at Retail Days in Istanbul,” – said Vitaliy Boyko, founder and CEO of NAI Ukraine.

“All the main areas in Ocean Mall have been already leased. The new shopping centre will include 500 stores, with a total area of 100,000 square meters, a cinema with an IMAX and 4DX halls, and a giant digital entertainment park with an area of 30,000 square meters. Thanks to the world’s largest fashion retailers opening their stores at Ocean Mall, and the current retailers at Ocean Plaza, the project will become the main SEC for the central part of Kiev,” – said the founder of Mandarin Plaza, Vagif Aliyev.

Ocean Mall’s anchor tenants occupy about 50% of the mall’s area, which are made up of a number of new brands within the Ukrainian market. The shopping mall’s unique tenant mix is ensured by the combination of the world’s best brands, including giant fashion retailers — fast, affordable fashion, and premium and medium-sized segments, all under one roof.

Ocean Mall’s concept was developed by Vitaliy Boyko (NAI Ukraine) and by Leslie Jones Architecture. The total area of the shopping centre will be 300,000 square meters, and a retail space of over 100,000 square meters.

Moreover, an entirely new traffic junction will be built next to Ocean Mall, eliminating congestion on the Lybidska Square and provide parking for 2,000 spaces without traffic problems.

“When Ocean Mall opens, the network of super-regional shopping centres will consist of 3 malls — Lavina Mall, Blockbuster Mall and Ocean Mall. 4 other malls, with a total area of over 1 million square meters, are also being prepared for construction,”- said Alexander Chernitsky, the chairman of Mandarin Plaza Supervisory Board.

Ocean Mall concept was developed by Vitaliy Boyko (NAI Ukraine) and Simon Scott (Leslie Jones Architecture).
